Info For Our Next Event!
So… What is a mending circle?
Traditionally mending circles are gatherings where folks are encouraged to bring the mending they are working on and work on it together. IE Mending strikes a balance between a traditional mending circle and a workshop. Anyone, regardless of sewing knowlege is welcome at IE Mending events.
What We Value
IE Mending Circle is a place for folks from all different backgrounds to come together in community. We support queer and trans people. No hateful or discriminatory behavior will be tolerated on our social media or at our events. As an event we aim to embody the intersectional nature of the Inland Empire. Additionally anti-immigrant, anti-Indigenous and anti-Black sentiments are not welcome in this space. IE Mending Circle is a free event so that it can be accesible and safe for all members of our community.

Check out the monthly theme and see if you are interested in it, then choose a garment or textile (or two) that is in need of repair. If you have mending supplies such as needles, thread, pins, yarn, fabric, patches, embroidery floss, ect, then bring them with you. If not, we will have some supplies available to you at the event but selections will vary. If you happen to have supplies you no longer want, you can donate them for general mending circle use. We will also provide specific materials suggestions for each monthly theme.

Nope! The monthly themes are meant to provide some direction but you can bring any mending you would like to mending circle.

Mending circle is free to attend. Folks are welcome to donate towards mending supplies via cash or venmo if they so choose.

Yes! Our events are open to all ages! Those under 12 should come with a parent, guardian or trusted adult. If on some occasion that changes as a result of a specific venue, it will be specified in the flyer information.
